这是我在2007年时的作品，最近重新修订，用作跟朋友们分享橄榄球的基础知识。

All Blacks - the national team of New Zealand

全黑队――新西兰国家队别称，主场比赛服为纯黑色，胸前一抹貌似羽毛的银蕨叶标志。

B

Backs - the group of players normally numbered 9 through 15 who do not participate in scrums and lineouts, except for the scrumhalf .

后锋（9-15号）。除了9号外，通常情况下不参与斯克兰顶架或争边球争夺。橄榄球场上，一般是前锋去赢得和保有球权，为后锋创造更广阔的得分空间。 十五人制比赛中，失去了前锋基础，后锋基本无法发挥作用，所谓得前锋者得天下。

Barbarians - the name of invitational rugby teams, the most famous based in the UK, drawing the finest players from around the world together to play matches against international teams. Also called the BaaBaas.

野蛮人联队，这是一种字面直译，中文中没有特别贴切的对应词。相当于一种临时被邀请参与的联队，与固定的俱乐部注册队员相对应。可以是为了某场比赛而召集成立，也可以是为了一个tour（巡回赛）而聚集成立。最著名的野蛮人联队主要是在英国，它在世界范围内选取最好的队员，参与国际性比赛。有时候也称为“巴巴斯”（baabaas的音译）。
